Barramundi Group (previously known as Barramundi Asia) has announced plans to expand its Australian barramundi operation to a capacity of 30,000 metric tons, with a capital spend of around AUD 350 million (€232.5 million / $245.3 million).

Singapore’s aquaculture production not spared from Covid-19
The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has confirmed that the island state saw a decrease in local production of seafood as the pandemic suppressed sales. A Spokesperson for the SFA told The Straits Times that farms lowered their output to keep pace with decreased sales demand during lockdown.
