Overall Summary
The Barramundi Group is Australia’s only ocean-cage Barramundi farm. We have been farming fish in the Kimberley region of Western Australia for over 17 years, and our Cone Bay Ocean Barramundi is on restaurant menus around Australia. Our business is entering a significant expansion phase with the recent authorisation to increase annual fin fish production to 15,000 tonnes and as such we have opportunities for Aquaculture / Commercial Divers to join the team at our Cone Bay operation.
This is a FIFO role, from Broome to Cone Bay, with a usual equal time roster 21 days on / 21 day off. Transport from Broome to site, accommodation and all meals are provided. We have short term contract positions (3 or 4 months) and also full time opportunities available.
Requirements
- The successful candidates will be a professional, enthusiastic, hands-on individual who puts safety first and works well with people.
- Experience in sea cage aquaculture operations would be advantageous.
- Coxwain (or higher) maritime qualification is a must for the Farm Technician role.
- Divers must have either ADAS Part 2 or an Aquaculture Dive qualification and hold a current commercial dive medical, first aid and advanced resuscitation.
